Clik here to view.Reykjavik’s outdoor forestry and recreation park at Heidmork is celebrating its 60th birthday.
A family carnival at the forestry site yesterday marked the culmination of the anniversary celebrations of the Icelandic capital’s most important outdoor recreation area.
Heidmork is not a city park; it is a large forest, grassland and nature reserve just outside the city, popular with walkers, picnickers and horse riders.
In celebration of the anniversary, visitors can now view large wood carvings and Iceland’s largest obstacle course, which was opened yesterday.
